For this work, Banksy adapted the Jack Vettriano painting ‘The Singing Butler’. The original painting had an additional figure in the form of a chambermaid clinging onto a wind-blown umbrella. In Banksy’s version, she has been replaced by two figures dressed in protective suits and moving a large canister of toxic waste.
